Atheletes Ready to Train Through Video Conferencing

There’s a lot of talk about the upcoming Winter Olympics in Vancouver being the first real web 2.0 games!

We know to expect blogs and tweets from every corner of the world attending, either as competitors, commentators or assorted hangers-on.

Video conferencing will be a common technology used by athletes at the games, so they can keep in touch with friends and receive expert advice when they need it.  Skype might have been the “make do” solution for those away from home, but this time high definition solutions are becoming the norm.

IPVisuals is a relative newcomer to this field, but it’s the perfect solution within Australia for any event where delegates want face to face communication with the folks back home. As an on-demand application it’s easy to set-up, with flexibility in how accounts are administered and paid for. Ask us how!

Meanwhile Vancouver shows how established high definition visual communications is becoming. So, what next? Well hot on the heels of Avatar, a film you should only see in three dimensions, Panasonic will be showcasing its 3-D TV at the games. Maybe that’s the next phase of video conferencing, we’ll see!
